Madukkarai Dharmalingeshwarar Temple

Dharmalingeshwarar Temple is Located about 10 kms away from Coimbatore at Madukkarai. The Shrine is Located on Top of Hill which can be reached through Steps only.


The Principal deity, DharmaLingeshwarar was said to have been worshipped by Eldest of Pandava Brothers, Dharma atop Hill. His Brother, Bheema is said to have stayed at bottom of hill and there is a statue dedicated to him at foot of hill.

Other Shrines at foot of hill include for Goddess, Vinayaga, Navagraha and Lingas. Primary Deity can be reached through steps only. Steps at Bottom and Top of Hill are in excellent condition, while steps in between are in pathetic condition. People are not advised to climb during Rainy days.

On the way to Top, one can see an excellent view of Madukkarai and its surroundings



Grand steps welcome us at entrance of Dharma Lingeshwar Shrine. Dharmalingeshwar, Vinayaga, Murugan shrines are in Temple Complex. Through Shrine is small, it provides us a sense of tranquility, serene.


How to Reach temple

Temple is located on a Hill, which can be easily accessed through Roads. Plenty of Buses ply between Coimbatore and Madukkarai. Best Time to Visit Temple is either at Early Mornings or at Evenings
